I have been sharing my passion for the French language since 2017, offering French classes to students of all ages and levels.

Private lessons

Private lessons let you learn French at your own pace, can be delivered to individuals or groups of up to three people, and suit all ages and abilities.

Corporate classes

Corporate classes help you improve skills for specific business purposes. Each lesson is tailored to the learning needs and the objectives of individual students.

Exam preparation

Exam preparation classes focus on learning relevant methods to improve your speaking, reading, listening and writing skills. We practice using samples from past official exams.

My teaching method

In our first lesson together we discuss your goals, I assess your French level and, based on this, I create an individual lesson plan tailored to your needs and interests.

Each lesson allows you to develop several skills:
· speaking
· oral comprehension
· reading comprehension
· writing

We work on at least two skills per lesson. The skills emphasised in each lesson depend on the lesson’s objectives.

We always focus on learning “living” French—French as it is used by native French speakers in the course of their everyday lives. I also provide valuable explanations of French grammar and exercises to consolidate and deepen your learning.

Examples of the resources I use include articles, videos, podcasts, interviews, poems, short stories, novels. . . . But what I most prefer is creating original resources that are uniquely suited to your individual needs!

Each resource we use will develop different skills: pronunciation and confidence in speaking French, reading comprehension and grammar.

I provide all the teaching material you need but I am happy to consider material that you have sourced too (e.g. from a French grammar book you have been using).

I encourage my students to practice at least an hour per week to improve their language competency and prepare for the forthcoming lesson. I also provide homework for the most motivated!

About me

I am a native French speaker with a Master’s degree in teaching French as a foreign language. I have been teaching French for eight years, in Australia and France, and have loved every minute of it. My students are of all ages and backgrounds, and I have taught in both private and public settings (such as schools). Before working as a French teacher and private tutor, I worked in business (in France) and hold a master’s degree in commerce. My experience in business has helped me develop classes suited for professionals who want to improve their language skills to expand business opportunities and careers.

I love sharing my knowledge of French language and culture because of the spontaneous and honest exchanges I have with students. When we communicate in a new language we tend to get straight to the point because our vocabulary remains limited. This provides opportunities for authentic human connection that are often not otherwise afforded us. But what I prefer most is seeing a student’s face light up when they understand something that previously seemed inaccessible to them.
